The Goddess of Glass herself, Connie Beckers, channels her decade of creative expertise while teaching students to mimic her glass-fusing artistry. During the three-hour workshop, each pupil creates two slumped plates and four coasters, using a variety of glass to create designs of their choosing. Groups of chums can chat together as they craft their designs with glass and assemble their vibrant works of art. The class demands no previous experience or skill, though experience with cutting through glass in jewel heists doesn’t hurt. After about two weeks, docents visit the Goddess’ retail space on Lowry Avenue to retrieve their fired and finished masterpieces, ready for gifting, displaying, or turning into colorful monoclesn.
Class Fee: $75.00. Make 2 more plates for yourself or as a gift for an additional $25.00.
