The Goddess of Glass offers quality art classes for all ages! Some are geared specifically for youth while others are acceptable for all ages and can especially fun for parents AND kids together. Glass with Class! – Sue Daugherty, Instructor
Saturday, Feb 20, 3 – 6pm – $39
Ever wanted to learn how to paint on glass but had no idea where to begin? This is for you! Part technical and a lot creative … have some fun with others who want to discover something new!
Intro to Stained Glass – Connie Beckers, Instructor
2 Wednesdays, Feb 24 & Mar 2, 6:30 – 9:30 pm – $98
In this two week class, students will create a small suncatcher in the Tiffany, or copperfoil method using glass, tools and supplies provided.
Ignite your Creativity – Jeana Sommers, Instructor
Sat, Feb 27, 10am – 1pm – $59
The class will open with a guided visualization specially designed to ignite the “creative spark” in you. Then we will dig into piles of trinkets and treasures, beads and baubles and make a project out of them!
Intermediate Stained Glass – Connie Beckers, Instructor
3 Wednesdays, Mar 9-23, 6:30-9:30pm – $189
After successful completion of the Intro class, or as a refresher for previous students, glassers will continue to work in the Tiffany/copperfoil tradition to create a larger panel expanding on their skills from Intro and gaining new knowledge for working on larger projects. An optional personal tool kit will be made available for purchase after successful completion of this course.
NEW! Open Studio – Wed, Feb 10, 3-9:00pm; Sun, Feb 7, N-3pm; Sun, Feb 21, N-3pm
In response to your requests for a place to do your own fused glass and other crafting, and since I’m already there working in The Shoppe, the classroom will be available on Wednesday Feb 10th for open crafting! (2/4/16 Sundays, Feb 7 and 21 just added!) There’s no fee if you bring your own materials and supplies. Glass fusers will pay a minimal firing and supply fee and prices will be posted in the classroom for individual projects. Coffee and tea provided!
Please reserve your spot via email by Noon that day. Please arrive between 3:00 & 7:00 pm; if no one is there by 7:15pm, I will close up shoppe and go home. The room is being used Feb 17-Mar 23 and Open Studio can move to Fridays, if there is interest.
PRIVATE GLASS FUSING PARTIES are a great deal with a rate of $45 per person with or without a special occasion to celebrate. The minimum is 6 and the maximum is 14 PLUS and the hostess gets in free with eight paid guests. I am available most weekdays and evenings, Sundays and some Saturdays for these. Because we are a small business with high demand for our services, we must adhere to a strict policy for canceling and rescheduling workshops and classes:
- Tuition and vouchers are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled.
- You may reschedule your workshop one time with at least 48 hours advance notice via phone or email.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, or failure to appear for the scheduled time could result in forfeiture of the tuition/voucher.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes/workshops at any time due to weather, less than minimum enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Pre-paid vouchers will remain valid. Questions? Send an email.
